We are proud to offer a wide range of training topics and learning formats. While the Jiu-Jitsu Basement primarily focuses on teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, we also offer law enforcement training and general self defense sessions. Most training is done in small, semi-private lessons, but sessions can be taught one-on-one or in seminars up to 100 students. We’ll work to accommodate your needs.
Training Topics Available
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Training – Jiu-Jitsu topics that can be covered include, but are not limited to, positions such as standing, mount, rear mount, side control, guard, turtle, etc. Topics can also include specific techniques such as chokes, arm bars, and transitions.
Self-Defense Training – Self-Defense topics that can be covered include, but are not limited to, situational awareness, maintaining distance and proper escape angles, grip breaks, effective kicks, effective hand strikes, and creating good witnesses.
Law Enforcement Training – Law enforcement topics that can be covered include, but are not limited to, ground control, ground defense, clinch work, decentralizations, focused strikes, strike defense, handcuffing, weapon retention, and weapon disarmament.
Private Security Training – Private security topics that can be covered include, but are not limited to, situational awareness, threat assessment, escorting with control, physical de-escalation, verbal de-escalation, and self-defense should the situation become violent.
The Jiu-Jitsu Basement is located in Kaukauna, WI and serves additional Fox Valley communities such as Appleton, Greenville, Grand Chute, Kimberly, Little Chute, Wrightstown, Freedom, Harrison, Neenah, Menasha, Oshkosh, Green Bay, and all the small towns in between.
